How It Works:
1. Sign up for the program and receive your downloadable copy of Dr. Jones's Master Fasting Guide
2. Book in for your consultation with Dr. Jones, included in the program. Dr. Jones will do a complete health assessment, discuss your goals for the fast and provide a clear outline for how to prepare for the fast.
3. You're all prepared. The first day of your fast is the first day of the program. Following the itinerary of the days you will successfully complete your fast with the knowledgable help and loving guidance of Dr. Jones.

Each Step Explained:
Water fasting is a 3 step process.
Meeting with the doctor is the first step.
Having your whole case taken thoroughly to gain an understanding of your current health status enables our doctors to determine the best program for you. Lab tests are ordered as markers of health and to monitor the treatment progress. Once this is complete, you are ready and cleared for fasting. The doctor will give you a treatment plan to follow prior to beginning the in-house program to help alleviate the toxicity level and make the fast easier and more enjoyable.
The second step is the water fast.
During your water fast you will be following a curriculum and protocol set in place by the doctors. It includes detox procedures to help remove built up toxicities from the body including skin brushing, Infrared sauna, castor oil packs and colonics when indicated.
Included are education modules about health, food and food preparation, meditation and journalling for health.
Sessions with holistic practitioners are important for total mind/body wellness including: massage, acupuncture, breathwork and counselling. We incorporate gentle yoga into our daily practice to harmonize our mind, body and spirit connection. No experience is necessary, our yoga is gentle and suitable for everyone.

The third step: Food Reintroduction
This is arguably the most important part of the process. Generally people reintroduce for half the time spent in the fasting phase. This involves the gentle reintroduction of warm liquids or live juices to get the digestive system working again as well as providing nutrition and enzymes for breaking down solid food. Supplements may be restarted to continue the healing process. Moving from liquids to solids in the form of fresh vegan meals completes the transition. You will love reintroduction and the new taste sensations after a fast!

- Opening ceremony - intention setting and the beginning of our journey of deep relaxation & healing.

- Time for relaxation and reflection.
- Getting connected with your fellow fasters - logging into the fasting group online.

Breaking the Fast + Reintroduction Days
This is the day after your fast ends. Fasting is broken according to our master fasting guide.
Meals begin with: vegan soup broth followed by delicious juices and fruit mono-meals.
Follow Up
For people fasting 5 days or more, included in your program is a follow-up consultation with Dr. Jones. We want to hear about your journey, how you feel now and make a plan for how to continue along your path of new found wellness.

Meet Dr. Ariel Jones
Dr. Ariel Jones is a Naturopathic Physician with certification in acupuncture, pharmaceutical prescribing, intravenous therapy and chelation. She is the co-founder of Hydrate IV Wellness Centre (Victoria, BC) and Mayne Island Naturopathic Clinic (Mayne Island, BC). She is a water fasting guide and has fasted individuals and groups in fasts ranging from 3 - 21 days. Dr. Jones holds retreats internationally for people interested in learning more about deep detox and cellular rejuvenation.

Benefits of Water Fasting
Chronic Pain
Water fasting has well known effects of curing chronic pain. The process of ketosis (breaking down fats to make fuel for the body) also breaks down scar tissue. Low back pain, arthritis, old injuries and acute are all improved during a water fast.
Mental Clarity & Spiritual growth
Water fasting is a deep reconnection to your true self. Without the distractions of everyday life, water fasting offers the opportunity to stop and listen to your inner voice and the guidance it provides. As the body sheds unwanted material from the body, the mind and spirit are released from patterns and energy that no longer serve a purpose. The movement through the physical process of water fasting facilitates change in mental patterns as well. Unblocking and unburdening from cyclical mental patterns in favour of calm clarity.
Curative For Chronic Diseases
Diabetes type ll, arthritis, fibroids, rheumatoid arthritis, digestive disorders (SIBO), headaches, chronic back pain, heart disease (arteriosclerosis), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity. Water fasting improves cognitive function, and reduces inflammation in the brain. It reduces Parkinson's symptoms and inflammation in the muscles, organs and blood. Disease Prevention
Water fasting increases insulin sensitivity in the muscle cells and liver, and lowers inflammatory mediators which prevents the development of diabetes. The lowering of heart rate and blood pressure & increase in stress resistance reduces the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and athleroscleorosis. "I recently had the pleasure to take part in an amazing personal journey of going on a
water fast. I decided to reach out to Dr. Ariel Jones for support during the process and am so glad
that I did.
I didn’t know much at all about the physical, mental and emotional benefits
of water fasting. Upon mentioning to Ariel that I wanted to commit to a 5 day water fast,

" 3-day water fast with Dr Ariel Jones on beautiful Mayne Island...
Reason for Fast:
Minor auto-immune disorders, such as thyroid disorder and
celiac disease.
I had eliminated dairy and meat a few weeks prior to the fast under Dr Jones' care. I cut out coffee (formerly 3 cups of coffee/day) two days before the fast. Based on Dr Jones advice, I went for my first colon hydrotherapy session a week prior. I believe the "detox" phase of my water fast was brief and uncomplicated for these reasons. Additionally, I was feeling healthy and optimistic going into the fast.
Began water fast at noon. I was too distracted by the the beauty of Mayne Island (Japanese Garden and Lighthouse), and Dr Jones' wealth of knowledge in answering my many questions, to focus on any discomfort. Had an infrared sauna, read, and went to bed early.
Dr Jones' experience with water fasting proved to be invaluable at this time. She patiently showed me how to use sparkling water, as well as a water enema at the right time, in order to settle my system. Most importantly, she showed me that I could manage this discomfort and feel optimistic.
Dr Jones was monitoring our health closely with blood pressure, urine tests, and one-on-one evaluations. She is a wealth of knowledge, given her background in the sciences and medicine. Additionally, she looks at the whole person when evaluating a health issue. Her intuition steered me in a positive direction every time. I look forward to experiencing a longer water fast.
